This workshop provides practical information and hands on training on vessel stability and emergency responses to flooding problems which cause many casualties. This workshop is oriented towards the commercial fishing environment and is designed to meet future training requirements for commercial fishermen.

Safety & Survival Training - New Bedford

These hands-on trainings, provided at no cost to commercial fishermen, are sponsored by Fishing Partnership Support Services, and conducted by Coast Guard Accepted Marine Safety Instructors.

The one day program includes: on-board firefighting, flooding & pump operations, flares & EPIRBS, survival suits, life raft equipment, man overboard and helicopter hoist procedures and first aid. If you have a survival suit, bring it. Lunch is provided! The training is supported by the U.S. Coast Guard and the Massachusetts Fishermen’s Partnership (MFP).
